A Méribel ski vacation serves as a quaint, laid-back access point to the never-ending terrain of France’s Les 3 Vallees. The only way to truly appreciate the size and scope of Les 3 Vallees. You could spend a lifetime exploring the limitless peaks and valleys, and partaking in lunch, espresso or a class of fine French wine at Les 3 Vallees many charming villages.
A special case among big French resorts: this modern well-equipped resort has retained its traditional Savoy village, making it an incredible destination to experience French Alpine culture on and off of the mountain. Méribel is an exceptional place to dine, shop and just peruse the pleasant streets. The most recent buildings respect the rules of the traditional architecture, perfectly fitting to the chalet-style setting.
A Méribel ski vacation grants you access to the Les 3 Vallees resorts, which include Courchevel, Les Menuires, Val Thorens, La Tania, and of course Meribel. Cross-country skiing is also popular in the 3 Vallees Region. Non-skiers can also enjoy the breathtaking heights and never-ending vistas, thanks to a special six-day pass including cable cars, gondolas and shuttle bus between Méribel , Courchevel and Brides Les Bains (which offers a casino).
There are trails for all abilities from wide, gentle well-groomed slopes for beginners, to steep trails with moguls to challenge the experts. The sheer size of Les 3 Vallees terrain ensures that experts, and every other skier or snowboarder has ideal terrain. Specifically, Méribel’s Mont du Vallon, Mont de la Challe, Tougnete and Ecureuil have a lot to offer—long, fast, steep cruisers to moguls, and notable off-piste areas. The extensive snow making system guarantees good snow on major trails leading to the resort. For off-piste skiing, we recommend a guide who will take you to untouched slopes to ski your heart out.
Advanced intermediates and experts alike will enjoy cruising down the 1992 Olympics women’s downhill run.
