World Economic Forum, Davos, 21st - 24th January 2020

Freedom Air has seen an upturn in private jet charter bookings for aircraft and helicopters travelling to the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2020 in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland from 21st  – 24th January 2020.

The World Economic Forum continues to be one of the busiest periods in the year for private jet charter and private helicopter charter travelling to Switzerland. The Annual Meeting in Davos-Klosters remains the foremost creative force for engaging the world’s top leaders in collaborative activities focused on shaping the global, regional and industry agendas.

Freedom Air has direct access to the Davos “Stilli” heliport, and nearby heliports in Klosters, only 10 minutes drive from the heart of Davos.  Our chauffeur partners can transfer you directly to and from the heliports to your venue.  Travel time from Zurich airport to Davos via helicopter is typically around 40 minutes.

Due to Davos location in the Swiss alps, helicopter movements are weather dependent, and if the weather does not permit helicopter transfers, alternate ground transportation via car will take approximately 2 hours from Zurich airport subject to road and traffic conditions.  Train transfers will typically take 2 hours 45 minutes from Zurich airport.

Due to the increased demand, Zurich airport has a restrictive slot allocation system in operation on a first come, first served basis from the 21st – 24th January 2020.  There is limited parking at Zurich airport, and slot allocations are being taken up quickly.

As an alternate to Zurich airport, Freedom Air has access to Dübendorf Military Airport which is available for direct flights in and out only during the World Economic Forum.  Dübendorf airport is located just 5 nm North of Zurich airport.

Davos “Stilli” heliport opens from 08.00 – 22.00 local time daily during the WEF. For added safety, Freedom Air utilises, IFR (instrument flight rules) certified, twin-engine helicopters with two type rated pilots flying, allowing movements to take place during the day and night subject to weather.

Freedom Air can arrange your private jet charter to Zurich or any other airport of your choice, and your onward private helicopter charter to Davos.
